The Russian Avant-garde Gallery is now in existence over 9 years. It has been actively developed for nearly 3 years following its creation, and then it was sustained for 5 years, with no means of further developing it. Since summer 2008, however, it has been actively renewed and developed once again.
This means, that groups and movements and artists belonging to the Russian Avan-garde whose page were hitherto undeveloped will be gradually filled to show the public all their wealth and originality. As you may have seen at What's New page, 4 groups were opened and about 1500 works added in 2009. Works are being added to existing artists' pages or replaced with better quality images, where necessary.
Even in its incomplete state, over the past several years the Gallery has steadily become a primary source of information for private collectors, authenticators, gallery owners, art students and teachers, critics and other people whose profession or hobby connect to this Art, and whom I have widely named as the Avant-garde Community. There are also many visitors that are not professionally connected to this unique phenomenon in the history of Art, and visit this website because they enjoy looking at the works presented here, which was the original mission of the website creator, Tatiana Kofyan.
In my desire to further improve this website for all and following the expressed wishes of my visitors to expand the information on this website to other related issues of interest to its Avant-garde-loving Community, the Russian Avant-garde Gallery proposes several new services. These are all intended to bring every kind of information pertaining the Russian Avant-garde art and artists to the people who live and breathe this art, who deal with it professionally or as a hobby. Thus I may relieve the Avant-garde Community of the need to search for the information themselves, and concentrate it in one central place: the Russian Avant-garde Gallery, making it the number one tool in their work and area of interest.
